How we start

A diagnostic call (~30 min, free) to understand the problem and users. If it’s a fit, we send a proposal with scope, timeline, and investment — usually within 2 business days.

Frequent Questions

Software Development in Puerto Rico

Direct answers on how we work, costs, timelines, and what to expect when partnering with us.

01 — THE PROCESS

It all begins with a discovery call where we understand your business, objectives, and the problem you want to solve. From there, we prepare a proposal with scope, timelines, and costs. If we agree, we sign a contract and kick off the design phase. We do not charge for the initial consultation.

Websites: 3–7 days after content is ready; about 3–4 weeks end-to-end if material is still missing. A custom CRM or ERP often takes 8–16 weeks depending on complexity. We work in cycles with demos — we don’t disappear for months without visible progress.

We operate with intentionally limited slots — maximum 4–5 active projects at a time. This guarantees your project receives real attention. If slots are full, we provide an estimated availability date.

You only need to be clear about the problem you want to solve and who your end user is. You don't need a technical document or programming knowledge. If you have a logo or brand guide, even better — if not, we can guide you through that part as well.

02 — COSTS & PAYMENTS

Payments are tailored to the needs of the client and the project. There is no single structure — we work with you to define a scheme that makes sense based on scope, budget, and work pace. It can be by stages, monthly sprints, or a combination of both. We accept bank transfers, ACH, and cards.

Yes. We offer monthly retainer plans that include updates, monitoring, incremental improvements, and technical support. Plans start at $100/month depending on the required support level.

This is one of the most honest questions we can be asked. The reality of software development — and any professional service — is that you can only optimize two of three variables at a time: Good + Fast = won't be cheap. Fast + Cheap = won't be of the best quality. Good + Cheap = won't be fast. At Quintanal.ai, we specialize in projects where quality and impact are the priority. We define with you the right combination for your moment and budget, and we are transparent about what that implies.

03 — TECHNOLOGY

For the frontend, we primarily work with React / Next.js. On the backend, we use Node.js, Python, and Supabase / PostgreSQL. For enterprise integrations, we connect with Shopify, QuickBooks, and REST APIs. We choose the most suitable stack for the problem.

Absolutely. AI integration is one of our core competencies. We can incorporate conversational agents, predictive analysis, process automation, and LLM pipelines. We work with OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models depending on project needs.

Scalability is part of the standard for how we architect every system. We design with cloud infrastructure — AWS, Vercel, Supabase — that scales automatically. If your user base grows from 100 to 10,000, the system holds up without needing a rewrite.

Yes, 100%. Upon completion of the final payment, we transfer full intellectual property of the code. We do not keep access, hide dependencies, or charge license fees. You receive the full repository and access to all environments.

04 — COLLABORATION

We use the quintanal.ai CRM as a centralized client portal where you can see progress, blockers, milestones, activity history, and documents in real-time. We hold weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings. You can reach us via WhatsApp or email — we respond within 24 business hours.

Yes. We operate 100% remotely and work with clients across the entire island — Bayamón, Caguas, Ponce, Mayagüez, Arecibo — as well as in the continental US, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Our team is bilingual (Spanish and English), AST time zone (UTC-4).

Post-launch iterations are a natural part of any digital product's lifecycle. We can continue in a monthly retainer mode or with specific scope-defined projects. Having built the system from the start, the cost of adding features is lower.

05 — TRUST & GUARANTEES

Yes. We have worked with retail, property management, inspections, and professional services businesses on the island. We understand the local market, the particularities of operating under PR jurisdiction, and our clients' bilingual context.

The contract clearly defines the scope and acceptance criteria. If upon delivery there are features that do not meet what was agreed, we correct them at no additional cost. Our process includes review rounds in each phase before moving forward.
